QUESTION:     How do I upload a video?

ANSWER:        Simple. Login or register, then just click on the ‘UPLOAD’ button below the video viewer on the homepage. Fill out the blanks within the upload window, choose the category and choose some neat tags that describe the video (better listings on the search engines--see?). Push upload and watch the progress!

QUESTION:     How do I enter a competition?

ANSWER:        Same as you upload a video, only click on a competitioin in the upload window to indicate that you want the views earned by the video to count towards your Popularity Points.

NOTE:               To see descriptions of the competitions, click on the big ‘Enter Contest Now’ button on the homepage. You’ll be taken into a page where the contests are listed and described. Click ‘Enter Contest Now’ a second time and go into the upload window. Fill out the form and proceed.

QUESTION:    How do I edit a video after I’ve uploaded it?

Answer:          Go into My Viddiction and press on the 'my videos' link. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select 'view all'. The list will then be populated, along with 'edit' links to the right of each thumbnail. Press this link and change the video name, description, category and tags, or choose to delete it altogether.

QUESTION:    How do I send a message?

ANSWER:       Go into My Viddiction, select ‘messages’, then click ‘compose’ on the left side of the screen. After that it’s just like email.

QUESTION:     How do I promote my videos?

ANSWER:        Go into My Viddiction and use our promotion tool to send links of your videos to your friends, both within the Viddiction Community as well as outside the viddiction community. But remember that promotion does not end there. Use any other legal tools at your disposal to spread the word about your video to as many internet users as possible. Remember, with every new viewer, your chances of winning cash grow! So shout it from the rooftops if you have to!

QUESTION:    How do I edit my profile?

ANSWER:       You can change your avatar, upload photos and change account settings all through the My Viddiction toolbox, just to the right of your avatar within you’re my Viddiction profile page.

QUESTION:    How do I change my profile login info?

ANSWER:       All login information can be edited through the toolbox within you’re my Viddiction Profile page.

QUESTION:    How do I refer friends?

ANSWER:       Wow, what a surprise, go to that toolbox and select ‘refer a friend’ then, just like promote your videos, you email your friends right through the website, to their regular inboxes… I’ve said toolbox so many times I’m starting to feel like one.

QUESTION:    How do I collect my winnings?

ANSWER:       You don’t need a paypal account to enter or compete in contests, but you will to collect the cash. Don’t worry, we’ll contact you and let you know what you should be expecting—usually in the first week of the month following the conclusion of a contest.

QUESTION:   How can I tell how well I’m doing in the competitions?

ANSWER:      Your My Viddiction Profile page will keep track of your Popularity Points as you accumulate them through each month of competitions. You will also be able to see how you stack up against your friends when you visit their profile pages.

QUESTION:    What sort of videos can I enter into the competitions?

ANSWER:       Use your imagination… Check that, use your brains! No highly graphic or adult material. No beheadings, executions, war footage containing graphic carnage or any form of pornography. Also, remember that if you choose to enter a video into a contest, it MUST belong to you lock stock and barrel. Trust me when I say that if you get all of your popularity points off of old episodes of Love Boat, you will be caught. The same goes for videos with the words ‘Youtube’, ‘Metacafe’ or any other evil website name emblazoned on it.
